KIDS AGAINST HUNGER

Kids Against Hunger is a hands-on food relief program to fight hunger locally and starvation globally. Kids Against Hunger packages nutritious meals to distribute locally and to the poorest of the poor around the world. The nutritious food is a blend of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a powerful 21 vitamins & mineral mix. When added to boiling water, each packet provides six meals. Kids Against Hunger distributes these meal packages to starving children and their families in more than 40 countries through orphanages, schools, hospitals and churches.

To accomplish their goal Kids Against Hunger works with local schools, companies, civic organizations, and congregations, such as Holy Savior, to sponsor packing events. The packing event concept is simple; the results are impressive. Volunteers sign up for two-hour shift and work assembly-line style to package meals quickly and efficiently. Holy Savior has sponsored two packing events since 2012.
